Based in Aberdeen with over 30 years experience of working with oil on canvas I specialise in portraiture but also enjoy painting historical and literary characters.
I always prefer to meet the sitter where possible and work from a combination of my own photographs and sketches so that I can produce as accurate a portrait of the sitter as possible. If this is not possible I am happy to work from photographs supplied.
In addition to my portraiture I also currently freelance in both design and illustration and hold a Masters in Fine Art.

I have over 25 years of teaching and practical experience in both graphic design and fine art working in both studios and educational environments.
I currently teach at North East Scotland college and also teach independant life drawing classes at the Northern Arts Club.
I am PVG certified and can teach from school age upwards.
