The pioneers, the racers, the heroes

​

I’ve always been fascinated by those heroes from a bygone age, who pushed themselves beyond the ordinary — the early flying pioneers, wartime pilots, racing drivers and adventurers. I’m drawn not only to the machines they flew or drove, but to their courage, character and willingness to take risks, often at the cost of their own life. Their stories have always inspired me, and I find myself returning to them again and again in my paintings.
